Sexy photos that land female volleyball stars in trouble in Rio

Two members of the Brazilian women’s volleyball team to the ongoing Rio 2016 Olympics have landed themselves in trouble over raunchy photos they shared on their Instagram pages.

The Brazilian team were Olympic women’s volleyball champions from Beijing 2008 and London 2012 but failed in their attempt to retain the title on Tuesday night as they were defeated in five sets by China in front of a packed Maracanazinho.

After a fast start that saw Brazil take the first set in convincing fashion, the Chinese came roaring back to take the next two sets, putting the tournament favorites’ backs against the wall.

After the defeat, supporters of the team have been blaming some members of the team who they said spent more time worrying about their good looks than gunning for gold in Rio.

The fans claimed all they had time for was to upload saucy selfies for their followers to enjoy.

This is despite the fact that the women in question had posted the revealing selfies on Instagram over the last 12 months.

But it’s not gone down too well in Brazil.

Volleyballer Thaisa Daher is renowned for uploading bikini selfies.

If only taking selflies was a medal event in the Olympics these Brazilian women would have been on the podium.

Nevertheless, the Brazilian team couldn’t hide their emotions after the disastrous defeat with many bursting into tears.

Captain Fabiana Caludino said, “I have no words, I still can not understand it all.”

Dani Lins was also quick to apologize to the nation, saying, “I’m sorry. I want to apologize to all of Brazil.”
