Real Madrid beat Liverpool To Win 14th Champions League Title
Real Madrid became European champions for a record-extending 14th time after beating Liverpool 1-0 in a Champions League final played at Stade de France stadium in Paris, France.
The march had started 37 minutes late because of disturbing crowd issues outside the Stade de France stadium located in north of Paris.
Liverpool were the brighter of the two teams as they created several chances in the first half forcing some brilliant saves from Madrid’s goal keeper, Thibaut Courtois who was sensational on the night.
However, it was Madrid who scored a goal through their hitman, Karim Benzema near the end of the first half, the goal which was later disallowed after a prolonged VAR check was ruled offside.
Madrid’s winning goal came in the 59th minute through their Brazilian winger, Vinícius Júnior who tapped in from a close-range from Federico Valverde’s low drive across the face of the Liverpool goal.
The victory gave Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti a record fourth European Cup title and also complete a double this season having won the LA liga.
