2024 GRAMMYs: Tyla Wins First-Ever GRAMMY Award For Best African Music Performance

Tyla Laura Seethal better known by the stage name Tyla who was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa became the youngest-ever African artist to win a Grammy Award at 22.

She also became the first person to win the Afrobeat category with her hit song “Water.”  although coming up against stiff competition, including massive Afrobeats stars Burna Boy and Davido, Tyla’s hit song  proved undeniable for GRAMMY voters.
