2023: Abubakar Atiku emerges PDP Presidential Candidate

Atiku won the primary by 371 votes to defeat his closest contender, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, who poled 237 votes, while a former President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, scored 70 votes.

Other aspirants scores are as follows:..

Udom Emmanuel, Governor of Akwa Ibom State scored 38 votes.

Bala Mohammed, Bauchi State Governor scored 20 votes,

Pius Ayim, former Senate President got 14 votes.

Sam Ohuabunwa, a former President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria got 1 vote.

Tari Oliver got 1 vote.

There were 12 void votes.

Aminu Tambuwa, the Sokoto State Governor had stepped down for Atiku just few hours to the primary election.
