Most people know that celebrities like Justin Bieber and Drake hail from Canada, or that Anthony Hopkins is British, but it may come as a shock when you find out the following celebs weren’t really born in the good ol’ U.S. of A.

Bruce Willis – Is there anything more American than Bruce’s Die Hard series of films? We don’t think so. However, did you know that Willis was actually born in Idar-Oberstein, West Germany?
Keanu Reeves – You may have thought Keanu was born in Hawaii, but he’s actually from Beirut, Lebanon.

Michael J. Fox – Just like a couple of other celebrities on this list, the Back to the Future actor was born in Canada. He’s from Edmonton, Alberta to be precise.
Kathie Lee Gifford – The famous TV host, singer and actress, who’s best known for her 15 years on the talk show Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee may be an American citizen now, but she was born in Paris, France. Perhaps that’s where her love for wine comes from…
