In recognition of his contribution to community development, Comrade Ayodele Adewale, immediate past Chairman, Amuwo-Odofin LG was presented with the Community Service Award by The Youth Wing, Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN) Amuwo-Odofin chapter on the 3rd of October, 2016.

Other Award recipients are: Bishop Olusola Ore PFN Lagos State Chairman, Rev. Demola Somorin FCA (JP) former CAN Chairman Amuwo-Odofin LG., Mr. Olusegun Kunrunmi YOWICAN chairman Amuwo-Odofin LG., Comrade Jola Ogunlusi, chairman CDC Amuwo-Odofin LG and Rev. Dr. V.B. Akerele, CAN President, Festac Town District.
